Hi All! I have some exciting news! When I was invited to be a part of the Craft Mafia event for the Jersey City Studio Artists tour, I was absolutely thrilled! I'm new to the craft scene, so I was shocked and flattered that I was asked to be a part of such a huge event! I've attended Jersey City Studio Artists tour in previous years, but only as a spectator. Now I'm smiling from ear to ear because I'm on the other side of the fence this time!
Here's more information about the event. It would mean the world to me if you could stop by my table and say 'hi':
Art House Productions presents
JERSEY CITY CRAFT MAFIA
part of the 2010 JERSEY CITY ARTISTS STUDIO TOUR
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2ND AND SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3RD
12PM – 6PM FREE! (I'll be attending on Saturday only)
Sponsored by BUST MAGAZINE
Art House Productions
Hamilton Square
1 McWilliams Place, 6th Floor
Jersey City, NJ (SE Corner of Hamilton Park near Erie St./8th St.)
Parking might be limited, so I highly encourage carpooling or using public transportation. The event is a few blocks from Newport Center Mall, which is connected to the PATH train station and Light Rail station.
There will be a lot of local vendors including my craftacular pal, Luca, from Lollibomb Beauty. There will also be miniature classes to learn how to make pop-up cards, transfer images onto canvas, make your own earrings, and discover high fashion tie-die techniques. And guess what! The event and classes are all FREE!
For more information please check out this link. It has the map and everything. And also.... "Bennyville" is mentioned on the website. I feel so fancy! Another victory for me. haha!
In the meantime, I'm busy preparing for the show! I've been sewing nonstop and working through lots of stacks like this:
I'm featuring some new items including a Blue Wolf! Yay
Also... just a quick note... because I'm preparing for the event, my Etsy shop will be closed a few days before and after the event. No worries! When I come back I'll be creating more fabulous things!
hearts and candy,
Sarah

Hey Sarah. I'm glad to see that things are working out for you :-). I don't think I will be able to make the show this weekend but I wish you the best of luck and I hope everything works out well for you. You have always been highly talented and you deserve this.

@Gale Hi! Pleased to meet you! Thanks for checking out my blog. I recently checked our yours and I looove it.
@Sarah It was good seeing you again. Like usual, you always have an interesting display of art and distractions to keep an ADD ridden person like myself focused, lol. (BTW, that coin stealing cat was hysterical :-) Good luck with everything else and I'm sure I'll see you again.
